The Airbnb Turnover Playbook Our GTA Hosts Actually Use
Short-term rental cleaning is a logistics problem, not just a cleaning problem. The clock starts at checkout and ends at check-in, and the guest photographs whatever you miss.

Two linen sets, always
Turnovers only work when linens are swapped, not laundered on site. Every unit we service keeps two full sets, so the dirty set leaves with us and a clean set goes on immediately.
The 90-minute order of operations
Strip beds and start the dishwasher first, so machines run while people work. Then bathrooms, then kitchen, then floors, then staging.
- Strip linens, load dishwasher, bag waste
- Bathrooms scrubbed, mirrors and glass polished
- Kitchen surfaces, appliance fronts, coffee station reset
- Floors vacuumed and mopped last
- Beds made and rooms staged to match the listing photos
Restocking is part of the review
Guests notice a missing toilet roll faster than a dusty shelf. We track consumables per unit and restock every turnover: paper, soap, coffee, dish tabs, garbage bags.
Stage to the listing photos
The room should match what the guest booked. Cushions, throws, remote placement, blinds at the same height. It costs three minutes and it directly protects the rating.
Photo handoff on exit
Every turnover ends with photos sent to the host, plus a note on anything damaged or running low. Remote hosts get proof, and damage claims have a timestamp.
