Pet-Safe Cleaning Products Our GTA Crew Actually Uses
Pets walk on every floor you clean and then groom themselves. That is the whole reason product choice matters more in a pet home than anywhere else.

What we do not bring inside
Some common household products are a hard no in homes with animals, regardless of how well they clean.
- Pine and phenol-based cleaners, which are toxic to cats
- Undiluted bleach on floors pets walk on
- Concentrated ammonia, which reads as urine marking to dogs
- Heavy synthetic fragrance and plug-in deodorisers
What we use instead
Plant-based, low-VOC surface cleaners for most work, dilute hydrogen peroxide where disinfection is genuinely needed, and enzyme cleaners for anything organic.
Enzymes, not perfume, for accidents
Masking a urine smell guarantees a repeat accident in the same spot. Enzyme cleaner breaks the compound down instead of covering it, and it needs to sit wet for ten to fifteen minutes to work.
Hair is a vacuum problem
No product removes embedded pet hair. That is a HEPA vacuum with a working brush roll, a rubber pet tool for upholstery, and slow overlapping passes. Speed is what leaves hair behind.
